Does a Cult Background Assist Atheists?

the march 2009 american religious identification survey from trinity college and the march 7, 2009, national journal article on "rise of the godless" present the following data: .

when asked for their religious affiliation, 15 percent of americans say none, but only 0.7 percent say atheist ..... .

i present the above info just as a reminder that very, very few people consider themselves atheist despite decades of "scientific" propaganda suggesting otherwise.

Maybe the problem Perry is you've yet to realize the words and writings in the bible were by mens own perceptual imaginations

imaginations that people like yourself are still supporting after thousands of years of human progress..

There wasn't a word in the bible that wasn't written by a man, by his own thoughts by his own knowledge of the world that HE lived in..

Interesting is it not that the bible states that man was made in gods own image.

Maybe men were wishing they could be a god with all the power of a god, could you imagine that, I could.

There sure were a lot of gods back in those ancient times as you know , just pick one.

Is the WTS About to Massage the Numbers in a huge Way?

obviously with no end-time date being out there right now, the wt to motivate members.

stagnation is the word that comes up frequently on the board here, and a currently active member, i see it permeating the dub attitude.

so this week's study article was interesting in that it potentially expands the area where dubs can count their time.

Now it's a prerequisite.

If thats the case Garry then they really want to keep a close eye on everybody around them to see who might be shaking up

things, whose talking what and where and who could be possible disenters.

I guess in these times they may want to know whoes causing trouble, maybe that was the reason for dropping the BS

( the elders couldn't keep an eye on everyone ), at the Kingdom Hall they can.

One thing to think about and give some consideration is are very existence on this planet today could not be possible

without the earth evolution of its own atmosphere , interesting is it not how scientific evolution can explain these things,

where primitive men who lived thousands of years could not. The only answer they could come up with were stories of gods.

So many gods to explain the world we live in but unfortunately not one bit of evidence of a spiritual being anywhere to actualize.

It makes you wonder if all those thousands of men that said they were spiritual connected entities were all just a big con job.

Now aren't you glad Perry that we've stepped away from the gods. Thank god science has arrived !

Do you think if the WTS were to start up today would it flourish to the extent of what it has become worldwide ?

here's a hypothetical question that worth some thought and contemplation.. if a small group of men or maybe even one man were to start the wts just the way russell did some 100 years ago.

would it grow and flourish just like the real one has done ?.

if the wts were to use all of their doctrines that they have acquired or established such as.

This for some reason brings to attention people like Jack Van Impe and his ministries, you've probably seen

him and his wife on TV selling Videos and DVDs 's about the soon to come Armageddon.

Fast talking and spinning bible interpretations to make it all sound so viable and real.

I get the impression that he had JWS come to his door at one time and thought to himself why I cant I sell Armageddon like they're doing.

Nevertheless he's created quite a bit a wealth for himself, I've read a report he pulls in $300,000 a year on the paraphernalia that

he sells on TV and the net, all non-taxable of course being its listed as a religious organization wink wink

i was raise to be a jw but fortunately i was able to brake free of their mind control.

when i was growing up my personalty often clashed with the jw lifestyle.

i tried so hard to find peace, i tried doing as i was told only to end up disappointed and feeling empty.

Exactly Anti-Christ, there is a whole big wide world out there thats worth discovering and getting to know.

Religious cults who cull and trap people so to be exploited is just an abnormally of are social environment,

there are too many out there acting in a similar fashion, but who really cares, there is total freedom outside

their gates and Watchtowers, all we can do is perhaps warn people who get close to them, thats all .
